Membership rules and fees
We are sure you will want to make use of some or all of our facilities and
services, but ... if you wish to make use of the material outside of the
Philipsburg Jubilee Library you'll need a valid membership card.
Our government regulated fees for library cards are as follows:
children
No fee.
Entitled to 4 items at a time.
Parents and/or guardians are responsible for the materials borrowed by their
children and will have to sign an agreement to this effect.
teenagers
Naf 10, - per year.
Entitled to 6 items at a time.
adults
Naf 25, - per year.
Entitled to 10 books at a time.
Adults, teenagers and secondary school
students pay a refundable deposit of Naf 25,-.
teachers/educators
Naf 25,- per year
and a refundable deposit of Naf 50,-. Items can be borrowed for classroom use or preparation of lessons.
Entitled to 20 items at a time. DVDs free of charge for the first 5 days.

special
Naf 50, - per year and a
refundable deposit of Naf 100, -.
Entitled to 20 items at a time.
tourists/non-residents
Naf 7,20 ($ 4)
up till one month
or Naf 30,-- ($ 17) every six months or part thereof. Children up to
12 are for free.
Entitled to 3 items at a time, with minor restrictions. Please bring your
passport for identification.
Refundable deposit of Naf 50,-
DVDs and videos
Naf 3,- per day on an adult card and half price, Naf 1,50 on a child's
card.
To increase the use of this collection
as of May 4, 2009 the
To borrow a DVD or video a valid library card
is required. So if the DVD or video is returned within two days, no fee is required.

Internet
As of February 5, 2009 the fee for internet-use will be $ 1 for 30 minutes
for all clients (members and non-members).
Please note:
the
fees for borrowing books need only be paid when persons wish to take home items from our lending
area. These materials can be used by anybody - no card necessary - during
opening hours in the library
no bags are allowed beyond the
circulation desk, and please leave your pets at home
no eating, drinking or smoking are
allowed in the library
please handle library materials with
care. Bear in mind that others may want to enjoy them after you
when you apply for a membership card a
passport picture and proper identification are required
loss and damage of items have to be
compensated for by the card-holder. Parents/guardians are responsible
for the materials borrowed by their children
although only the card-holder may take
out materials, anyone can return them
books,
magazines and audio CDs can be kept for three weeks. Returning the materials
later will result in overdue charges. However, extending the lending period
can be easily done by telephone
