audio-cds
Just like our books, you may borrow the CDs for 3 weeks. Philipsburg Jubilee
Library has information
and stories for children, and for adults language courses are available.
book mobile
During the week the book mobile visits primary schools in the morning hours.
In addition, on Friday afternoons it services Dutch Quarter (Zorg en Rust)
from 3.00 - 3.30 pm and Belvedere (Belvedere Estate road) from 3.45 - 4.15
pm.
books
We offer books
in English, Dutch, French, Papiamento and Spanish, totaling more than 60,000
volumes.
children's section
This area holds the collection for children (from toddlers to secondary
school age). Here you find materials for educational purposes, and for the
pleasure of reading.
Caribbean
collection
This collection consists of non-fiction dealing with local and regional
issues, as well as novels in English, Dutch and Papiamento. In the reading
room, current newspapers can be read, with back issues available in digital
format. From our storage room you may request those newspapers now out of
print, going back to the 1970’s. We
have a documentation collection of clippings from these newspapers with
information on a wide range of subjects relating to Sint Maarten.
DVD's and
video-cassettes
Our video and DVD-collections include classics, documentaries, and feature
films for both children and adults. These materials are for rent per day.
internet
Residents (of secondary school age and up), as well as tourists, may
register to use the internet for a nominal fee. Free Internet
introductions are given on Saturdays. Contact us for details.
meeting facilities
Non-profit organizations can rent – for a nominal fee – our conference room
or the hall of the library for the purpose of meetings, exhibitions, etc. For more

Exhibitions and a variety of other services and programs are organized,
often in cooperation with others. Consult the local media for our next event

In the reading room you may browse through magazines on all conceivable
topics. You
can use our reference materials such
as dictionaries, atlases
and encyclopedias.

Qualified, multilingual and knowledgeable staff members are ready to assist
you in
locating the books or information you need.
study room
In this air-conditioned section, visitors have the opportunity of using our
individual study carrels. To ensure optimal
concentration and undisturbed
study for everyone, we ask you
