Summer Program 2008 @ your library: Vote for
Books!
This summer Philipsburg Jubilee Library organized many activities for children: a reading
program, visiting main voting bureau, story telling, vote the best book and movies.
Read 5 Books:
The reading program was aimed at children and teenagers of ages 6 to 16. All
they had to do
is register, read 5 books and receive a reward! The program started on the 1st of
July and
continued until the 2nd of August.
Story Time:
Story Time @ your library took place
during the month of July. Tuesday mornings from
10.00 – 11.00 a.m. the 4-6 years’ old had reading related activities. The
7 – 12 years
old were welcome on Wednesday mornings also from 10.00 – 11.00 a.m.

Admission was free. Space was
limited, so everybody was advised to register @ the library.
Vote for Movies:
Children’s movies were
shown every Friday at 10.00 am during the summer holidays,
starting 4 July at 10.00 am. Children could choose and vote which movie they would
like to see
up till Thursday night.
The movie with the most votes was shown.
Read to vote:
Vote for the best book of 2008 was open for all children ages 6-16. The library
offered books which came to the library in 2008. There was a raffle
with prices under the voters .
All
activities were free of charge. If you had any questions, you could contact the
library
