Summer Program 2009: successful Summer Program @ the library

Story time
Date: 7th July to 29th July 2009: 152 children participated
30 July 2009:  60 children and their parents attended the party at the St. Maarten Zoo.

Present at the zoo:        Aukje de Jong, Richard Nicholaas (BKM), Maryland Powell and Morena Ignacio (PJL). Ishirah Baptist and Kimberly Housen (volunteers)

                                        No games were done.          

Reading program
A total of 55 children registered for the summer reading program. 7 Children read op until their 3 books. 1 Child read 31 books. 18 Children registered and never did a book report. (Left for vacation) 6 children read up to their 8 books. 23 children have finished their ten books.
