contest of the Beyond Writing Foundation
The
Beyond Writing Foundation
asked children from 8 tot 12 years old to write a poem or
short story about the sea and sea life. It's impact on you, your fantasy about
it.
For example:
 What impact does the sea/sea life have on you?
How do you experience the sea and its sea life?
What are your dreams or fantasy about it?
What do you like or find the most important about the sea?
How should we treat the sea and sea life? Etc. etc.
Deadline
The deadline to deliver the story or poem was 15 February 2009.
How to participate
You could send your work to: PO Box 734, St. Maarten or to
beyondwriting@hotmail.com or put
your story in the box at Philipsburg Jubilee Library. You were asked not to forget to
write down your name, age, grade and telephone number on your work!
A jury, consisting of writers, will judge the works per the end of February. The
winner will be then mentioned in newspapers and/or radio and will get a price.
That will be a by Loekie Morales autographed book of Mina Marina and some other
items.
