PHILPSBURG— Do you enjoy dancing, singing or acting? Then audition to be part of the Philipsburg Jubilee Library’s summer musical, which will be held from July 2 to August 2.
The aim of this summer musical is to give St. Maarten’s talented youngsters between the ages nine to seventeen, a platform to cultivate, as well as showcase their untapped artistic abilities in a meaningful way.

Connor to Read for Story Time Saturday

St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce and Industry Executive Director Claret Connor will be this Saturday’s reader for the weekly Story Time for children at Philipsburg Jubilee Library starting at 11:00am. He will read Mushroom in the Rain by Mira Ginsburg, a book from the library’s collection. The story illustrates a lesson in elementary science and centres on a number of animals sheltering under one mushroom.
